Who we are
ANISHINAABE FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization committed to supporting Native American women in need, particularly survivors of challenging circumstances. Together, we strive to change lives and build a better future. Anishinaabe is also committed to preserving Native American heritage by empowering community across the United States.
Our mission
We cannot change the past or rewrite history, but we can learn from it. The United States was once home to many nations before it became a country and each of these nations endured tremendous pain and sorrow. We aim to make a difference where it is most needed. Many Native people are in need of help and support, often facing family violence, severe depression, and struggling with lack of basic nededs in isolated reservations. Women and children are the post supporting women in challenging situations and amplifying the voices of every Native nation.
Today, we have the power to express ourselves, share love and freely celebrate Native American culture. While lifting up a society held down for centuries is no easy task, the smiles of its people reveal the strength and resilience that will soon shine brightly again.
What we do
Support for women in need
We welcome native women in need of moral suport and care fto our center, where they cn find a compassionate community ready to listen and help.
Fostering cultural pride
Engaging with tribes by hosting gatherings and sponsoring festivals to encure Native American culture is passed down through generations.
Advocating Heritage Conservation
Raising awareness about the importance of safeguarding traditions, landmarks, artifacts, knowledge, sacred sites, music and native languages.

Our projects
Funding objectives
All the foundation's income comes from private contributions and is intended for the general interest of participating in rewarding projects, focused on human beings and the improvement of their living conditions and their environment.
To date, the Foundation can already confirm interesting inflows of funds, but the funding objectives set are far from being achieved in order to respond positively to the many needs related to the realization of projects and requests for financial assistance.
A few projects have already been funded by the Foundation, including the start of a project for organic farming, the development of secure communication systems and also project management.
Currently, the Foundation is analyzing a new project which consists of setting up a small-scale technological showcase, a pilot project in agriculture. The projects presented to the Foundation include, in the medium term, aid for the acquisition of several agricultural lands for crop diversification, based on research and development. Projects that are part of the Foundation's mission. Several other projects have been submitted but will be part of the 2023 schedule of achievements and will be announced in due course.
